Hello to you all!
I haven’t written to the adults for a long time … I have a lot of thoughts to share, but unfortunately I manage to put quite a bit on paper lately.
I am writing to you from what the Lord has said to me, and I hope that it will be a help also for you.
Luca 17:11-19
”And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:
And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.”
SHOUT!
When you have a problem, when you have leprosy and it keeps you away, raise your voice and shout, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
When I shout like this, when I know I have a problem and so I shout: Have mercy on me Lord, this sin keeps me away! Jesus will see me, for it is written in verse 14, “He saw them and told them,” verse 15, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.”
LISTEN!
God, wait a minute. Lord Jesus, I come to you, I have heard about you that you have the power to heal, not the priests! They already know us, they saw us as lepers and they haven’t done anything to us so far. Ah, how long could they continue to contradict what Jesus told them, right?
I’m thinking about me and you. Can I still comment, bargain, and argue with God when he shows me a way to get rid of my leprosy?
Then I’m either too proud and ashamed to shout, or I’m not aware of how harmful, contagious and deadly the leprosy I carry is.
DO!
I think this is the biggest curse that can fall on me as a Christian, not being able to do what the Lord tells me to do. I always want Him to do just the way I understand. If these lepers had this kind of thinking, they would never have been cleansed.
Did Jesus believe that they could be cleansed by the priests? Not at all, but He wanted to see their hearts and their obedience.
Do I have a leprosy I’m struggling with? How simple it is to take this example.
Shout : Jesus, have mercy on me!
Listen to exactly what the Lord tells you to do.
Then do what the Lord tells you to do, humble yourself and listen, even if you don’t understand it.
This way you will be clean!
And don’t forget, the glory is not yours, nor the fact that you humbled yourself and listened, but only and always of the Lord. Come back and thank Him!
With joy,
Oana and the happy dwarfs
