Noise?! After a tiring day, this article does not seem to be the most desirable, we would like peace, right? What if we called it -music in / from the kitchen-? Yes, these toys can be made from simple, even comun things that any household should have.
I hope, however, that today will not be the very day when you want peace, because we suggest you do some “rattles” together (that’s how we called them :)).
I saw the idea earlier in a picture, and its realization was put into practice when a little boy named Avraam, 2 years old, discovered our shelf with spices and also discovered that if you move up and down those jars with lids they sound different.
So we got together to make the “rattles”. Some musical objects to play with and very easy to make, right at home.
requirements
- cardboard tubes from toilet paper / kitchen foil, etc.
- wrapping paper
- adhesive tape, preferably wide
- various larger and smaller grains (for example: beans, chickpeas, rice, etc.) – what you find in the kitchen
- glue
- scissors
- linear
- pencil
how to proceed
1. Measure the cardboard tubes, then draw their length and width on the wrapping paper.
2. Cut out the paper rectangles.
3. Apply tape to one end. It is better to have the tape wide so that you do not put two pieces of narrow tape as we put.
4. Before covering the second end, insert the grains into the tube. In this we put chickpeas.
* I recommend using several tube sizes or at least several types of grains, so you get different sounds.
5. Apply glue to the decorative paper and stick to the cardboard tube.
Ready! Our rattles are ready! It was easy to make, and yet, they are creative and super fun toys.
* You may be wondering why I made only two tubes, because I had prepared for three tubes. : D Well, little Avraam, after he got bored of moving the rice grains from one bowl to another, wanted to see what the cardboard tube tasted like … It was so “melted” that I couldn’t use it anymore .
We hope you try these musical toys too!
P.S. We will be back soon with a video to hear and how our rattles sound 🙂
