Hello my dears!
What would you have done? It’s a question I asked myself first. I was so impressed by one of my friends and her gesture that I thought of writing to you too.
Natasha started a confectionery class, she loves to make cakes, and I witness that some delicious desserts come out of her hands.
The course came to an end and as all the courses ended, the final exam arrived. The way she chose to take the exam was an example to me, and I think it is a good example for all Christians.
Many times we are afraid to tell those around us that we are Christians, we are afraid of their reaction, especially if it is an exam. A low grade could leave a negative imprint on your entire career. But Natasha, instead of being ashamed of being a Christian and not daring to say anything about her Lord, to the people who examined her, chose to do just the opposite. She made a cake in the shape of the Bible, fulfilling her mission to bring the gospel to as many people as possible, even to her examiners.
In the following you will be able to read how this idea came to her and what her examiners said.

How did you come up with the idea of making a cake in the shape of a Bible?
I’ve been thinking about what cake to make for a long time and I’ve been looking for ideas. I found one that I really like with flower petals. I said: that’s what I’m going to do! I did a cake test for our wedding anniversary, it turned out very well and I was convinced that this is the cake idea that I will take to the exam. Something about this flower technique.
In the meantime I was praying, when I remembered the exam: God, what model of cake do you want me to make? I prayed that everything would be fine, but at the same time I still stuck to my idea.
One evening, about a week before the exam, I read the Bible with my husband. I don’t know exactly where I read from, but what I understood was to tell everyone about Him, not to be silent … After reading, we prayed and went to bed. I was sitting and thinking: Lord, now we have to be so separated / isolated, how can I say about You, to whom? Suddenly an idea came to me: I will go to the exam, I can make a cake that says about God.
Weren’t you afraid of what the examiners would say?
I had already bought everything I needed for the Bible cake. Three days before the exam, thoughts began to come up: Aren’t you ashamed? Everyone will come with beautiful cakes, and you come with a Bible! I was starting to feel ashamed … But I was determined!
Just the day before the exam, I baked the countertops in square shapes, thinking that I would be able to do something else, I almost gave up. Then I read something encouraging again. While I was making the cake, it was time to preach, I left everything and went to listen to the Word. Before the sermon I sang with the choir a song whose words said: “open my mouth to speak of Your heavenly Word …” It was even clearer to me that the Lord wants me to make this cake for the exam in the form of the Bible . Then I was even more determined to do what the Lord asked me to do.
Thoughts of shame came, but I did not take them into account, I wanted to do what the Lord asked me to do. Other thoughts were: what if it’s not God who asks you this? I thought: and even if it is not God, I will still do it to overcome my own will and shame.
For the cream, the countertop and every layer I made, I prayed constantly and I could even feel how God is with me and everything went very well for me. When I looked at the model I was making, it seemed very difficult to do, but the Lord helped me and everything turned out surprisingly well at first.
The Lord took care to have the right car to transport him safely and without melting, now with the heat outside.
What did the examiners say?
We arrived at the exam, left the cake in a room and went to take the written exam.
After the written exam we moved to the showroom. Colleagues were the first to go see the cakes. Each time they approached the cake in the form of a Bible, they either said words of appreciation or remained silent. Surely the Lord has planted a seed in their hearts, which I may not reap …
Then came the teachers and a chef. They didn’t taste them all, because there were many, they only tasted a few of them. She also stopped at the Bible-shaped cake and exclaimed, “Woe who is so faithful?” It was as if shame wanted to embrace me again, but I said to myself: God told me to do this, I was obedient and I did as He told me, whatever it is, it will be. The examiner said: I would taste it, but I am afraid to cut becouse I am very sinful! In the meantime, someone else wanted to taste it, so she tasted it too.
I don’t know how God spoke to everyone, but it was a victory for me. Even though discouraging thoughts attacked me, God encouraged me and gave me the courage to be His witness.
P.S. She got a grade of 10! That`s the best grade for Romania. Congratulations!
